Taunton Wish Granted By The Fairy 🧚 ⭐️

Good Friday Fairy wins for the second time in 12 days at Taunton in the 2 mile 5f handicap chase.

Sam & GFF At Taunton

GFF has well and truly hit top form in the last fortnight with 2 decisive wins at Wincanton and Taunton. On both occasions he has been partnered by Sam Twiston-Davies who has really gelled and understood a quite complex character.

He’s a horse who gets very anxious and is quite the worrier on race day hence why recently we have stuck to local tracks so he can spend as long as possible relaxed at home. We have also changed his diet to help him keep a level head. This horse has always been a bit of a puzzle and I’m sure we’ll keep learning plenty more about him as time goes on.

GFF

El Bandido Pancho has been a very frustrating horse but finished 2nd in the 2 mile 4f handicap hurdle at Ffos Las under Tom Bellamy. He was sick for most of last year then fell on handicap debut when looking a likely winner at Lingfield. He then ran over fences and acted like he’d never seen a fence before which was very irritating as his schooling had been good. A switch back to hurdles and a smooth ride saw him run his best race to date being beaten 2 1/2 lengths and pulling 12 lengths clear of the third horse. He would have learnt plenty and will continue to improve with time.

The horses have been in great form the last few weeks and we hope to continue that into next weekend where Ooh Betty is set for a tilt at the Imperial Cup at Sandown.
