I’m delighted to be able to offer this beautifully bred individual for syndication. We purchased Masked Diamond at the Tattersalls May PTP/HIT sale for incredible value at E30,000. This good-looking son of Masked Marvel with a cracking pedigree made E60,000 as an unbroken 3 year last year at the Derby Sale.

He has had just 2 runs in good quality 4 year old Irish ptp’s. On the first occasion he was running a lovely race on debut just tripping up on landing 2 out when just 3 lengths down. He took a step forward on his second run finishing 2nd at Ballingarry. He finished very lame post-race at Ballingarry having sustained a nasty cut in front, so it shows real guts despite this to gallop on. The winner of the Ballingarry maiden was sold for E70,000. These were high class 4-year-old ptps full of sales horses. Masked Diamond appears to have plenty of speed and will be well suited to racing over much shorter trips under rules. 4 days after Ballingarry he was still very lame at the sales due to this nasty cut which shows how much discomfort he was in, but most likely helped us secure him for great value! After 3 days in England and the cut treated, he was A1.

Masked Marvel is one of the most sought-after young NH sires. Multiple grade 1 winner Teahupoo the winner of 14 races and Sel Jem the winner of the grade 1 Grand steeple-chase de Paris are just 2 examples of high class Masked Marvel off spring. His dam Sand Diamond was a winner in France and has already produced 4 winning off spring that have won 11 races between them on the flat in France. Grade 1 hurdle winner Quel Destin & 6-time winner Last Empress add yet more substance to the pedigree showing a blend of soft ground 1mile 4f flat winners and grade 1 winning hurdlers.
