2021 Bay Gelding By Maxios (GB) ex Coolmara Oscar (IRE)
I am delighted to offer this 5 year old 16:2hh strapping gelding for sale by
2026 gold cup winning sire Maxios.
We purchased this chap privately from Monbeg stables having had 3 Irish
ptp runs. The first 2 he finished 4th & 3rd on heavy ground before taking a
big step forward on good to soft ground at Ballycrystal finishing 2nd/13
beaten just over a length in the fastest time of the day. The winner was a
£74,000 store and the 3rd was a £60,000 store showing this was a race full
of quality. He jumped very well and stayed on strongly.
Maxios needs no introduction as a sire – Gaelic Warrior having won
multiple grade 1’s including this years Cheltenham Gold Cup. Our very own
Secret des Lune has showcased a tremendous attitude and plenty of ability
finishing 2nd in her first 2 bumpers and winning on her latest start from just
3 runs. The pedigree is further enhanced with Cheltenham festival winner
Cooldine and 147 rated 7 time winner Blow By Blow.
Riseandcall looks a real improver and the type of horse we’ve had a lot of
success with in the past.

Getaway In May (GB)
2023 chesnut gelding by Getaway (GER) ex Mayberry (GB) ( Silver Patriarch) (GB)
Recently purchased privately from Molland Ridge Stud, I’m delighted to offer this gorgeous son of Getaway for sale. Molland Ridge has proven to be a reliable source of talented young horses for us with Secret Des Lune, Barrow Hill Lad & Diamond Lily coming from their nursery.
Getaway is a sire we have had plenty of success with and we are delighted to train another of his offspring. He was a dual group 1 winner in Germany and multiple group 2 winner in France and England. He has sired top class horses, the likes of 8 time winner Verdana Blue rated 162 & 6 time winner Handstands rated 157.
His dam Mayberry won 3 races, achieving a victory in each discipline bumper, hurdle and chase. She has already proven a very capable broodmare with 3 runners hitting the track and all winning, most notably 4 time winner Merry Berry rated 124. The 2nd dam has produced multiple winners including 8 time winner Blaeberry rated 140 and she’s gone onto produce 5 time winner Smarty Wild rated 137.
He has been broken in and arrived with us mid-March and is currently trotting and cantering showing a great attitude . The plan will be to educate him for a further 6 weeks before a summer break with a view to returning to training in August. We will look to start him off in bumpers before progressing to hurdles and fences as his career develops.
With the pedigree, athleticism and attitude this gelding possesses it gives us every right to be excited about his future.
