2019 bay mare by Jet Away (GB) ex Redstone Cave (Ire) (Court Cave (Ire))
I have recently managed to purchase this cracking daughter of Jet Away. She made a most pleasing debut finishing 2nd /12 in an Irish PtP on the 27th April. Since purchasing this mare, the winner (£45,000 store) went to the boutique Punchestown sale and made 140,000E, showing this was a race of quality.
Trained in a small set up by Susan O Gorman, she has been bought along quietly before making her debut on the 27th April. Susans string have struggled for form all season managing just the 1 winner, so this effort should be marked up. Being an enthusiastic individual, a trait of Jet Aways offspring, this mare was dropped in towards the rear and crept through the race stealthily jumping brilliantly and not being popped any questions until after the last. She wasn’t given a hard time, and this was the perfect educational run on debut. She readily pulled 5 lengths clear of the 3rd horse, finishing a keeping on 2nd and in the process giving both the winner and the 3rd horse 5lb.
Jet Away is a sire who has been making his mark in Ireland over the last couple of seasons. 149 rated mare & Grade 1 winner Brandy Love trained by Willie Mullins and 7 time winner Clear the Runway are just 2 examples of exciting talented individuals he’s sired. Her dam Redstone Cave is a half-sister to dual hurdle winner and chase winner Lord Rosskit and halfsister to 5 time Irish PtP winner Family Official. 7-time winner The Very Man achieved a peak rating 144 and Simon Legree was a 9 time winning top class chaser who give this family real substance.
She’s a lovely moving mare, stands at 16:1hh and has a clean vet certificate. The plan will be to run in a mares maiden hurdle over 2 miles in the autumn. The mares novice hurdle programme book offers no shortage of options. We have exploited this previously with Endless Escape winning 4 novice hurdles and Ooh Betty winning 3 and being 3rd in a Grade 2 mares novice and also 2nd in a listed mares novice at Cheltenham. We hope this mare can follow in their footsteps.

I'm absolutely delighted to offer this strapping 16.2hh son of the very popular 'Getaway' for sale. We have purchased this chap privately and are in the process of breaking him in.
He's a fine big gelding who covers ground effortlessly and is remarkably light on his feet. He is showing a great attitude and a willingness to learn.
His dam Drinks Interval is by the great Kings Theatre who is proven as one of the best damsires. Drinks Interval was a cracking race mare herself winning 2 hurdle races and 3 chases and achieving a peak rating of 147! Also achieving black type on 3 separate occasions. Drinks Interval was placed in bumpers and won on ground varying from heavy to good through her career showing great versatility. His grandam has produced 5 winners from just 7 runners showing this is a family full of quality. Getaway needs little introduction producing grade 1 winners for the last decade and our very own Endless Escape winning 4 novice hurdles and finishing 3rd in a £50k handicap at Cheltenham last month.
The plan with this chap will be to finish breaking him in then give him a break until September 1s. We'll then aim to ready him for a bumper at some point in the new year. A racecourse gallop at Christmas time will tell us when he'll make his debut.
