Game Colours & Risk De Pluie ….. WINNERS 🥇🥇

A busy few days for us starting at Exeter last Friday with Game Colours. Partnered for the first time by Sam Twiston-Davies, she was positively ridden making all until headed 2 out before quickening up smartly to win decisively by 5 lengths going away. This was a deserved success having not finished out the first 3 in her last 11 starts but having not won since last February. She’s been running some cracking races in defeat, being placed twice at Cheltenham and also in a £100k handicap at Kelso. Having showed a liking for Cheltenham her top target is back there in April for a mares handicap. She’s been a brilliantly fun horse for owners Baker, Cartwright & Langford.

On Saturday we travelled to Chepstow and Risk De Pluie put in a great performance to win in very comfortable fashion in the hands of Toby McCain-Mitchell in the 2 mile 3f novices handicap chase. Much like Game Colours, Risk De Pluie has been ultra consistent in his 7 chase starts previously, but it was brilliant to see him get his head in front. We’ve always thought plenty of him and I’m certain he will continue to improve with time and more racing. We will look to make the most of his novice status for the remainder of the season. Delighted for owners Beard, Ford & Langford.

Risk De Pluie

A Perfect Day is an individual who has a lot of ability and it looked as if he was going to bag a nice prize on Saturday in a Pertemps Qualifier at Chepstow, but a bad blunder 2 out ment he lost all chance and his jockey to lose both irons but I have no doubt this horse is one to keep on the right side of.

Storm Cracker was a fraction underwhelming on debut at Newbury. Although beaten only 10 lengths, we really fancied she’d go close but just about everything went wrong and her tests weren’t 100% post race. So we were delighted to see her put that debut run firmly behind her when just getting touched off in the final strides at Hereford on Sunday in the 4 year old bumper under Rex Dingle. Although gutting not to win, it was great to see her show on the track what she shows us at home. She’s a mare who will win plenty of races.
