Renoir paints perfect winning picture 🥇

The horses have been running incredibly well over the last 10 days. We’ve had 4 seconds, a 3rd and Renoir getting his head in front where it matters yesterday at Hereford.

Renoir with winning connections

Having put in a very good effort on handicap debut at Taunton when beaten less than 2 lengths, Renoir built on that effort when scoring at Hereford yesterday in the hands of Rex Dingle. The leader went off at a strong gallop, Rex steadily began to reel them in from 2 out drawing upsides at the last and then toughed it out well to score by 3/4 of a length for owners Octavians V. This probably came soon enough after a fine effort at Taunton and we’ll give him a bit of time now. Decent ground is important to him so we’ll keep him busy in the spring. There will be plenty of good days ahead with this tough little horse.

Ellie’s Warrior has been frustrating as she’s always shown more at home than she’s been showing on the track. However she took a big step forward under Ben Jones at Taunton finishing a staying on second. I think she’s just been a very slow learner so we hope she can now kick on and continue progressing.

Ri Na Cuirte put a very modest effort at Exeter firmly behind him when finishing second at Chepstow under Ben Jones. He completely lost his confidence when tried over fences in December but he looks to be back in a good place with himself now.

Somethingtosomeone ran a solid race finishing second under Joe Anderson at Ffos Las on handicap debut in the 2mile 4f mares handicap hurdle. She’s a gorgeous mare who will only improve for fences in time but for now she will remain very competitive over hurdles.

Dr Kananga finished second at Southwell in the 3mile 1f handicap chase under Tom Bellamy. He looked like he’d forge away to win jumping 3 out however he had other ideas and rather dabbed on the brakes and finished second! He’s been a wonderful horse and a yard favourite for some time but retirement beckons and he will be found only the very best home.

Game colours hasn’t been out of the first 3 all season and she kept that up when finishing 3rd at Kelso in the £100k herring mares handicap hurdle under Tom Bellamy. She jumped brilliantly and we believe there’s more to come from this mare. Cheltenham in a listed mares novice is her next target in a few weeks time.

On a slightly different note former winning inmate Lettie Lutz gave birth to her first foal. He’s a big striking colt by Stradivarius, we wish his owners all the very best with mother and child and look forward to following his development.
