Team On Fire 🔥 With 2 More Winners!

The tremendous form of the team shows no sign of stopping with 2 more winners to make it 4 winners and 2 placed efforts from our last 6 runners! We are operating at a 66% strike rate in the last 14 days and over 40% strike rate from all our runners from Higher Crockermoor this autumn .

On Wednesday both Cast’s Tasha and Miss Hunky Dory made their seasonal reappearances at Ffos Las in the 2 mile 5f mares handicap hurdle. Although not ideal running 2 in the same race, with unseasonably dry conditions we had to take advantage of soft ground in the ideal race for both. I honestly couldn’t split the pair of them on paper and it proved very close on the track. Both jumping the last upsides in front with battle hardened Cast’s Tasha, under Ben Jones, having her head in front where it mattered and Miss Hunky Dory under Tom Bellamy just 2 1/2 lengths behind in 3rd. That made it 3 career wins for Tasha and there’s no reason to suggest she won’t be very competitive of her revised mark. I was delighted with Miss Hunky Dory, she’d only previously had 1 run in a handicap and she jumped brilliantly, would have learnt plenty and will improve for the outing.

Cast’s Tasha (noseband) Winning Under Ben Jones, Miss Hunky Dory in 3rd

Yesterday it was the turn of new recruits A Perfect Day and Somethingtosomeone to make their debuts for us having previously been placed in Irish ptps. A Perfect Day is a gorgeous 4 year old we like but is a big baby with a lot of maturing to do both mentally and physically. However this didn’t stop him making a pleasing rules debut winning by 14 lengths eased down. Having nearly been bought down when the favourite fell in front of him, he did well to regather his momentum and composure. He was pricking his ears all the way up the home straight perplexed as to why he was in front on his own! But Dave Noonan kept him concentrating to score comfortably. We’ll give him plenty of time before running him again in 4-6 weeks time in another small novice event. Somethingtosomeone ran a most pleasing race on hurdles debut. She can be very keen at home and wore a hood in her Irish ptp so starting at the minimum trip made sense to make sure she settled. She settled immediately and found herself close to top gear throughout. She jumped great and was pricking her ears crossing the line suggesting a greater test of stamina and slower ground will certainly be of benefit to her. Lovely mare who will make a cracking chaser in time.

Delighted for all my owners that they are getting the results they deserve, having supported the change of premises and showed patience with the weather!
