No Panic At Kempton

Largy Panic has always show plenty at home, but lacked a bit of maturity on the track. After 3 qualifying runs he gained an opening mark of 95. On handicap debut he travelled sweetly throughout but rather conked out 3 out at Exeter on softish ground over 2 mile 5f. We decided to give him plenty of time and wait for a better ground and drop him in trip. It certainly worked a treat winning the 2 mile novices handicap hurdle at Kempton under a very positive Tom Bellamy ride. He jumped very well and despite pricking his ears from 2 out once hitting the front, had enough to repel to 2 late challengers.

We were thrilled with this performance as he shows us plenty on the gallops at home. A return to further will be on the cards shortly, the key to him being decent ground. We hope to get 1 more run into him before having a summer holiday, we’ll then look forward to chasing in the autumn.
